The Nowra 8 Hour Pony Express October 9th

What is the Nowra 8Hour?
A Cross Country EnduroX event ran in a Pony Express format that will pit 2 man teams against the best terrain NDMCC has to offer.

Teams will compete on a 20km loop course (approx 40-50 min lap)
the course will be open for inspection
all day Saturday

Team rider 1 will start on a grid with a max of 30 riders (total) in a dead engine start. Starts will be staggered at 2 minutes with mixed classes.

Teams must swap riders (and transponder) at each lap (the same bike can be used) if riders cannot swap at each lap the team will be classed as unable to continue and no rider will be able to continue riding

The Checkered flag will be produced to the leading team at the completion of there current lap after a min of 8 hours.



What Classes will be running?
Event is only open to seniors riders (over 16 years)
there will be a max of 90 teams so please enter early to avoid disappointment.

All classes are the combined current age of both team riders

Under 45 Expert
Under 45 Clubman

46 to 60 Expert
46 to 60 Clubman

61 to 80 Expert
61 to 80 Clubman

Over 80

Pro Class

(no ironman class)

Who can ride in the The 8 Hour?
Answer: Anybody but you must be 16 or over
All riders must be members of NDMCC (one day temporary memberships are available to all)
All riders must hold either a current MNSW race licence or purchase a one event licence

Race licence tests and one event
licence will be available online

Prizes and Trophies
1st outright team $1000

Trophies will be presented to all place getters in all classes but the pro class

There will be lots of other sponsor prizes in all classes these prizes will be a lucky draw, and drawn at presentation. Winners must be present or prize will be redrawn.

Entry fees?
2 man team entry $260.00
Entry fee includes race fee, transponder hire, lunch voucher, Inaugural 8hour T-shirt
and every rider is in the running for great prizes drawn at presentation.

MNSW One event licence per rider if required $55.00

Temporary Membership will be required by any team rider that is not a current NDMCC member $5.00

Overnight camping?
Free camping Saturday and Sunday night
gates are locked from 10.00pm to 6.30am Hot showers, toilets and canteen facilities are available. No campfires / naked flame on Sunday from 6.00am until 6.00pm

Does my bike need to pass scrutineering?
Yes in accordance with the 2011GCR's

All racing is to be carried out in accordance with the 2011GCR's
